I am setting up a Cyclo Benelux Mk 7 rear changer and can't seem to get it right, being a Sturmey Archer fan. Got it all assembled and the cable change working, but the chain looks all wrong and the changer itself doesn't seem to be at the right angle. Does anyone know where I can get a diagram or instructions showing how to set up this thing? Many thanks

I remember a friend of mine, when we were kids, showing me his new bike with Benelux gears. He was proud of the fact that they were 'very difficult to use'.
I hope you were suitably unimpressed. I never had any problem with mine, nor with the Huret on my next bike.

It looks right, works fine on the repair stand, but binds when I am actually riding. The toothed jockey wheel seems to be out of kilter somehow. It works fine in the lowest gear though.
I have stripped everything, regreased the bearings and it all seems tight and true. Probably going to replace this with an old huret or campy 5 speed mech, but would really like to get the Cyclo Benelux working eventually. All suggestions gratefully received!
