Here am I showing shocking naivete at aged 38 but it never occurred to me that men might shave themselves there, apart from a few slightly odd people.

Me neither - it sounds far too dangerous apart from anything else.

I must say that the prepubescent look does not apeal to me, nor does the idea of shaving rash in that area.
