Sad to hear that, but reading the thread title I was looking forward to finding out how someone had nicked your actual shed.
I actually did get a new shed stolen from an allotment a few years back, but they took all the tools out and left them on the ground. They obviously knew what they were after.
The funniest thing (I can say that now..) is that I didn't even notice for the first few minutes that anything was missing.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Mine are in the shed, but wild left a few nasty surprises to greet any would be intruders.
You sleep in the shed ?

Yes i was quite suprised at the quick turn-around, i am currently at the point where they have given me the figure to shop with, and i am calling them to let them know my choices in an hour or so, but as to how quickly the rest happens, we will see.
If the thieves are professional burglars then they'll be back for the replacements in a month or two.

Fully agree. We got cleaned out 25 years ago.......they used a furniture van and went through room by room. The police warned us.........."they will wait till you have replaced everything then come back". We doubled up on security and they never did come back/get in.

My friend got turned over twice in two months, he was sure it was the same people who did both thefts (don't know if the police could be bothered to lift fingerprints or not?).

Nothing quite that scary.

My parents' house was robbed when I was a child. They broke in during the night and stole a couple of hundred in cash, chequebooks and miscellaneous items before making their getaway. My parents didn't even realise we'd been robbed when they woke up and only clicked when they noticed the kitchen window was ajar. The kitchen window that the burglars came through was approximately 50cm by 30cm and the police found size four footprints on the window frame and the kitchen worktop. They said that we were robbed by either young kids or midgets. For the next few years, I was convinced they'd strike again and developed this irrational fear of midget burglars, it sounds funny now but I was only ten at the time and I was absolutely petrified.

Got burgled a couple of weeks ago. Slimy little daffodils.

I hope they didn't get anything ?

We've had two attempts on the garage, but so far the security has stopped them getting in. Doubled up each time. It's common round this area for shed and garage burglaries. House break ins tend to be for expensive cars (keys).
