Thanks for that @SpokeyDokey, those look the same instructions as I followed last night, without optimal results.
Baring in mind where that rear derailleur cable is running at the moment, should I not take the bike out for a ride tonight?
I've had no response to my email from the bike shop, so I'll give them a ring.
Whist it is running like that it will be eating into the frame and your gear change may not be brilliant either. Why don't you just pop the end cap off and feed it back through then re-tension - well easier to do rear gear than front gear!
I wouldn't be riding my bike with the cable improperly routed like that.
Easy job to route it properly though.
Ah :/ was planning to attend my first group ride tonight, I don’t wanna damage the bike/cable though. If I remove that cable, won’t the indexing need setting again?
No answer from the bike shop, very disappointed they would make a mistake like that.
