I need to replace the chain on my Road Bike, It'a 105 Groupset and I am going to replace the cassette at the same time.Looking on the Chain Reaction website it shows two 105 chains,a 5701 @ 14.99 and a 5600 @ 19.99.What is the difference between the 2 apart from the price ? The cassette I was going to get is a 10 speed 5700,I don't want to make the mistake of getting incompatable parts.

Don't buy a Shimano chain full stop! Buy KMC or SRAM!

I thought KMC made shimano chains..
Maybe they do, maybe they don't, but Shimano's insistence on that frangible pin method of joining (as opposed to KMC's "missing link" - or SRAM's equivalent) is beyond comprehension.

As per the above advice, get any 10 speed KMC chain
The more expensive ones are lighter, otherwise no difference.

Yep! Get KMC X10 chain or another of their 10 speed ones. About £18 or so if you shop around on the websites and don't need a very lightweight one. Their missing link connectors are worth that alone. Utterly brilliant.

If its a 2012 105 cassette it's designed to run with Shimmy's unidirectional chain. It'll run a normal chain but its a waste of a slick cassette.
