Shimano cable stops/adjusters

This may be a simple question with an equally simple answer but it has me struggling at the moment.
Is it possible to find Shimano stops to replace the down tube levers and enable me to install STI brakes.

The problem with all of them is that the have curved mounting surface to fit directly onto the tubes. What l need is a flat mounting surface to fit over the square section (see pic) and onto the flat surface of the fitting !
Does the curved 'shroud' not come off the braze on, most of em I've seen are plastic.

I will have another look at it but l think that the braze on fitting may well go right through the aluminium tube so as to take the stress of working the down tube shifters away from the aluminium. In any case the "braze on" is all one piece and completely solid. Dunno if that makes sense !
