shimano dura ace 7900 rear derailleur

Has anyone any experience of running a 32 with this mech, I have a 28 at the minute and was thinking of a higher gear for the Fred Whitton in May.

I have a 10 speed 7900 groupset, currently running 11-28t cassette, when this needs replacing I’ll be changing to 12-30t. I’m pretty sure a 32t won’t fit although you could use a Wolf Tooth type hanger extender, that would work.

There are much cheaper versions available, I bought one for a different bike from SJS which was around £4, although I haven’t used it yet.

I’m presuming you are wanting 10 speed?

Yes 10 speed, I had seen that on wiggle but being a tight **** i was looking tiagra or something similar!

I’m a tight Yorkshire man but it’s my only option.

Maybe try one of the derailleurs hanger extenders, they are available on eBay for under £3.50 delivered from China or you could find one from a UK supplier as below;
