Hello everyone, I have an old road bike which has a 5 speed freewheel. It has a shimano positron 400 derailleur on it. I'm planning to change it but I don't know anything about derialleurs. I see that mtb type derailleurs are cheapers than road bike types. Are they compatible? Can I use a mtb type to replace this shimano? I need some advices. And I have to admit that my budget is not much.
