Shimano Speed Compatability

Quick one, I have 9 speed tiagra groupset. I am looking to upgrade the crankset that came with it (think its a SRAM touring crankset) with a ultegra 11 speed crankset.

Will this work, or will I need a new front mech etc etc?

You say SRAM touring crankset - if this is a triple ring and you are changing to a double, then there will be implications for the front gear changer and the front mech.

Sorry, the Crankset I have now is a double. The replacement is also a double. The only difference (other than being 11 speed) is the new chainset is a compact.
