Shorts without grippers?

I seem to have a problem with shorts. I find grippers a pain - seems my thighs are relatively big, so if shorts fit my legs then everywhere else is slack. Longs & 3/4 are fine. As an experiment I chopped a pair of 3/4 to short length which seem ok & don't really ride up.

So the question; Is it possible to get (ideally bib) shorts without grippers?

I hate grippers too I just cut them off and re-hem, if you don't have a sewing machine most dry cleaners have someone to do repairs

Castelli doesn't have grippers, it uses the fabric instead, very comfortable

I went for xl size as I have 34-36 inch waist and if I ordered again would still order xl size
