Should amateur cyclists ever wear a replica champion's jersey?

If people want to go out, buy and wear team kit they should. It's good to show support and my ten year old son will be getting some sky kit for Xmas if it comes down in price a little. They should stop making replica champions jerseys, I've been surprised how many people don't agree with lesser mortals wearing them.

Here is the link for the 9 sexiest women pro cyclists wher I pinched the picture of Lynn Gaggioli.
Ultimately it's up to them, but I can't help but think 'pretentious dickhead' when seeing someone wearing a Sky jersey and socks with BMC bibs.
yeah, especially if they are riding a Colnago.

Celebrate our differences by wearing what you want to wear. I don't care if it's full sky kit or mixed up from several pro teams or it's a plain jersey with team bibs or you got that team milram kit for a fiver. If you like it then wear it!

I saw a bloke the other day on a fully laden touring bike, the panniers were bulging,he was built like a snake, and moving at some speed, and wearing a Sky jersey. If he'd had been on a "roadie" bike yes,but on a tourer i'm not too sure about?
I'm not a fan of the world champion jersey looks wise, but if i liked it i'd buy it.We have to remember that when we're out on our bikes in all weathers doing what 90 odd percent of the population aren't capable of doing then we all have a bit of world champion in us!:cuppa:

I saw someone in a Sky replica kit a few weeks ago in Sheffield.

Except I realised I recognised him when I got a bit nearer and saw he had a little Union flag and the word 'Swift' down the side...
