Sticks of carrot. Not too many. And if you're good you can have a grape for afters.

Grapes and carrots are full of sugar, and not wishing to burden the NHS because of diabetes, I need to eat something else. Any suggestions?

Someone up thread said fat ugly people get discriminated against in the work place. Less chance of being the biggest earner, getting that job ect.
Well thats rubbish
99 % of the people running this country and in parliament are fat and ugly

Not all of us 60 millions can sit in the cabinet or be CEO's in big companies. Most of us have more mundane and less powerful jobs than that. Obese people compete with slim, attractive people for the same jobs. And we don't need scientific research in the matter (which there is plenty off, btw) to conclude who gets the jobs. In most cases, at least. Sometimes, qualifications plays a role too. But I have covered up for bimbos more than once. A smile and some vague hopes for miracles to happen does the trick.

Another matter is that most companies cannot afford to employ people who may carry a high rate of abscence from work. Obese people does that, I am afraid. For that reason, I would not had employed myself if I could employ a mirror image, to be brutally honest.

This is just a matter of life. Darwinism to a large extent. It is the same mechanism in the discos. The beautiful people takes the beefs home for one on one enjoyments. The less attractive ones are the wallflowers and return empty handed. Ditto for the labour market. That's life.

I'm confused now. Should rugby players take up eating as a sport as its less dangerous then ?

Not often i agree with User482, but i most definitley do in this case

I don't think you would find any obese person eating crisps and fatty burgers in a quest to better themselves or to become healthy. Cyclists and rugby players does put in the training to do exactly that.

I also think the focus is wrong. Being obese is a part of a wider range of problems in the obese person's life. That is why the NHS programmes is working on the full 360 degrees package instead of just putting people on the scales once a month/week like the Weight Watchers are doing. That is why NHS programmes work where all other programmes fails.
The weight itself is just 25 % of the problem in an obese person's life. The other 75 % also need to be adressed before the problem (obesity) is solved.

You need to love yourself a little more. Loosing a lot of weight will not change your life, apart from the fitness point. A lot of life changes are down to personality. Also, skinny does not necessary mean handsome. I am skinny now after a lifetime of chubbiness - still cannot get used to look for size 10 in the shops :girl: I'm still loosing out on the job front by fatter but younger and blond lassies, such is life. If you are able to go on long bike rides, you are fitter than most, why should you be off work due to ill health? Never really did come across weight discrimination in the work place, maybe "look discrimination", but, as I said, skinny does not automatically make you better looking, or even give you the ability to master the all important "diplomatic office talk".
Careful not to make the weight issue an obsession, you can still get the girl, just look in the right places

I suspect that most amateur cyclists and rugby players don't train, aren't attempting to "better" themselves, and do it solely for the enjoyment. I like eating crisps, too.
