School curry always did, and chip shop curry makes no claims to authenticity, and I like sultanas, so YES!!!!

You'll love these - patat oorlog ("war chips") - smothered in mayo, peanut sauce and raw onion...

Here where I come from we don't hv curry sauce... what we hv are all manners of curry; fish/fish head, seafood as in huge prawns/crab/cuttlefish, beef, chicken, vegetarian and its usually pretty damn hot & spicy so we don't throw in sweet sultanas or dried fruits in. instead of chips, its breads, pratas, pitas etc tht is used to mop up left over curry thts in the form of thickened gravy.

Maybe someone would be kind enough to post a pic of the curry sauce? thx ...me being curious lol

What's wrong with good quality chips without condiments, sauces, gravy or cheese.

An Irish colleague is keen on chips with garlic mayonnaise and cheese. xx(

I first had chips with mayo in Germany when we were on holiday visiting my uncle, who was stationed there with the Army.
I must admit I like my food wet (it's a sensory thing) so sauces/mayo etc are all good with me!

I am reasonably well-travelled, and I generally like decent quality food, with an international lfavour.
However, NOBODY, but NOBODY does after-beer food like the Brits. We are tops in this, no question.

So, with regard to chips (leaving aside the obvious fish option), I deem that the following are great and should be encouraged

Chips+gravy
Chips + curry sauce (non-authentic) (with sultanas if you like)
Chips + mayo (sorry 3bm)
Chips +salad cream
