Driver: "You don't pay road tax"
Cyclist: "Nor would you if you didn't have to, so don't get all moral-high-ground on me"

or less constructively

Driver: "You don't pay road tax"
Cyclist: "No, and I don't pay for sex either"

To the driver who comments about being held up by cyclists making him 5 minutes late for work, easy solution, leave home 5 minute (or preferably 10) minutes earlier. Twit.

the road tax one is actually annoying when you think about it..

PAYE payers pay the same as all the others ( so discounting tax on petrol) we contribute to road funding..

but we get very little for it specific to us and we dont damage the roads like cars and wagons do!

( i guess motorcyclists probably have the same rant ;) )

"... Is it my fault your car is too fat to get past? If you were riding a bike there'd be plenty of room for you to overtake"

I think that second espresso has sedated my diplomacy glands

i dont get the 'well get out my way' or 'filtering on the left is illegal'

1. tell you what, when you're driving in your car, and i'm in mine,, why dont you just drive in the kerb so i can go past,, no? why not? if the kerb isnt good enough for a car with 4 large wheels and nice suspension, why is it somehow where bikes must live ?

2. read the highway code mate, if you're ready to pass me at that distance, then why is it suddenly illegal for me to filter, its even stated as legal to 'undertake' let alone filter if someone is stationary..

hehe, 8 weeks cycling and i'm converted
