I fancied having a Massey Ferguson 35 on my drive. Not as imposing as a tank but still too wide to fit between the gate posts frustrating my acquisition plans and ensuring domestic harmony.

I settled for a a much less demanding substitute, a Lister D stationary engine.

I drove a 'grey Fergie' like that 10 miles to a transport rally for a friend.... (I'd never driven a tractor before in my life) and (apologies for too much information) passed by the cemetry my dads in.... He'd driven one when he'd been farm hand in his teens/20's couldn't resist a little salute to him.....

That's a Ferguson 20FE, not a Ferguson 35.

I would like a tank on my driveway. I would also like to go and photograph bandstands, using my European Rail Timetable to access them by train. After that I would start photographing continue photographing European Rail Stations

Btw, they used to be called the Thomas Cook European Rail Timetable.

All pretty noble pursuits really. The one thing I thought that was pretty unforgivable was the beer can collectors carpet, shocking stuff.

Oh and I used to work next door to the road cone collector.

However, telling people you keep a diary of mowing the lawn is essentially asking for a bullet to the brain. Kill him now. Maybe with the tank.

What's wrong with that (apart from the obvious fact that most canned beers taste like pish)?
Assuming that they are full, and that the intention is to empty them and thereafter dispose of the empty can!

Yebbut disposing of the can would defeat the purpose though

Seriously though, collections like that and the milk bottle one can, at the end, be donated to somewhere like The Museum Of Brands for the world to see and go 'Oh yeah, I rermember when..... (add your own comment)'.

As for others, how on earth, does, for example, doing the European Timetable make you dull?? That is bloody useful and he should be given some sort of medal for his services to the European Rail traveller!!

Others like the hedge one are a bit out there, but I bet these guys are still more interesting than most of the population!
