Should I buy this tandem?

I'm thinking of getting this tandem http://www.laid-back...e16/page16.html to get me and my kids around town on. We had a test ride and it felt very safe, if a bit long.
I wondered what others here think of such a contraption.

Hi.. I couldnt get it on your web thingy.. but the review seems ok... I had a tandem for a while and they are a bit long but you get used to them..only prob with them is they are not so easy to transport without a specific rack

I borrowed one to ride around the track at the Cycle Show last year. I was impressed with its handling and general rigidity.

thanks for the bike 2 work tip. Can you get a bike 2 work bike if you're self employed?

We don't have a car so I'm hoping that we might be able to go a bit further afield on a tandem than walking/waiting for buses. I'm dithering between a cheap tandem or this deluxe one.
