...by some Tiagra hubs for my spare rims and get em built up even though I've 2 pair of wheels already or put them in storage and spend the build up money on something else

Invest the money you would have spent on the new hubs and getting them built up. If you do it right you can retire at fifty and live out your years in comparative luxury.

If you've already got some spare wheels, I'd suggest not building up the rims until you need them.
