Should you say something to drivers if they do something stupid?

I don't normally say anything but I did today... at a pinch point with a pedestrian island in the middle of the road, and on a bend, a daft bint in a Ford Fusion decided that was a good time to overtake me and put me in the gutter. It did frighten me and I shouted and flapped my arm. Every other car after that gave me a full lane's width.

She stopped at traffic lights not long after, I managed to calm down, and I pulled alongside and politely told her that she needs to give cyclists some room but she just kept staring blankly ahead, clearly ignoring me.

I just take the lane at pinch points.

It is rare that a driver is receptive to having the error of their ways pointed out to them.

I don't say anything but I will stick a finger up if necessary to express my complete joy at being close passed on a blind bend in the face of oncoming traffic.
