A kitchen seems perfect to me, warm, near the kettle and toaster why use anywhere else.
The lounge would be warmer and nearer the tele.

An old clubmate told me an amusing story. He set up his turbo in front of the tele and did his training session in the lounge. When he had finished, he turned round and to his horror, the wall behind had been sprayed with dirt/oil from his tyre.

Was indulging in a little light bike fettling in the kitchen last night. Senior Management was out so it seemed like an ideal opportunity. I was a good boy and carried out all the mucky work - degreasing the chain etc in the garage. However the kitchen struck me as the ideal venue for a gentle rub down with a damp cloth - that's the bike, not me ...

Gettting ready to fit the lights, pump, bottle cage & saddle bag to the new bike.
The lines betweeen the floor tiles are also handy to line wheels up on when making sure that the handlebars are set straigt if any changes have been made!

Some brave folk on here  I once fit a new tyre in the kitchen whilst Mrs SD was out, but I'd never take a picture incase I got found out :okay:
Although a couple of years ago when I started turbo training in winter I was allowed in the lounge, but it was far too warm for me, prefer the garage.
