Out on my walk yesterday morning and passed a guy on a Brompton who had stopped for a natter with a couple of walkers. He was still nattering away on my way back so I stopped to join in 😁
He was riding an electric G line, the strange thing was that in the environment of the trailway it looked like a regular sized brommie, it was only the front disk that made me realise it was a G line 🤔

My longest ever ride on the Brompton, definitely not the most direct route to work and back but I feel less guilty about getting it on the cycle to work scheme lol

My, new to me, 12 speed electric Brompton. Just one year old and bought as private sale.
i added the Brooks saddle and pouch, ergon grips, bottle holder and just put a Schwalbe Marathon Plus on the rear wheel to seek to avoid punctures.
This is my second Brompton.

Wow - that's an insane amount of mileage at the best of times; let alone on a Brompton!

Gunk, my legs ached that night. Drove me mad if I’m honest but the next day they were ok.

Wafter, I have been building the mileage on the bike up prior to that ride. I don’t think Brompton are any harder to ride just a few mph slower average speed for the same effort but they are definitely more fun than a normal bike. I think it’s more a case of getting your backside used to that many hours on a saddle….

Cracking effort. I agree with your comments on the Brompton, but I understand why others aren’t so keen. I have an old 531 road bike as well as my Brompton. It’s nice to have two very different bikes to ride.

Absolutely agree, the more bikes the merrier for me. If I could only have one bike though, heaven forbid that happening it would be the Brompton.

I've been lent a 6-speed machine to try out (from a local with a garage-full of Brommies!), before I commit to selling a kidney.
He did advise checking it over, and I quite like basic cleaning, to get to know a bike, and give myself some karma points. Anyway ...

I love the yellow , could never find one over here when it was new Brompton day.
