I would've opted for Grocer's bike. The humble trade cycle came in many guises (shapes & sizes).

I have a Pashley Delibike and I am always being approached by elderly ladies reminiscing about boyfriends taking them home in the basket
The saddle is on many Giant bikes and I find it OK for longish rides.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was indeed very comfy, cycled just shy of 50km at the weekend and it was fab! Took a little while to adjust to the STI shifters, but once I'd got my head around them it was fantastic.

My latest acquisition is this very lightly used Marin Argenta less than 6 months old and ridden only for a total of 30 miles.
I have wanted a Marin road bike for a few years so finally got one.
A... modern bicycle? What have you done with the real Biggs?!
dont panic @AndyRM the rest of the fleet still there , its just that i have lusted after a Marin road bike for as long as i can remember and this one came at RIGHT price so i could not resist it , so far so good but then only done 1.5 miles as i type this
