Like all of my bikes (except the Orange I inherited from my uncle) it's a Shi**no free zone. It became a bit of a project to use parts from as many different manufs as possible: Campagnolo, Suntour, SRAM, Dia Compe, Cane Creek, Microshift, SON, Halo, Tektro, FSA, Nitto, Brooks, Stronglight, Pace, Syncros, Mikashima - using parts from each of the last five decades. Yes. Tragically, embarrassingly nerdy.
Five brake levers, three brakes, two stems. Homemade copper headset spacer is a nod to my previous life as a plumber.

It is a very beautiful and unique bike. If I were to encounter it and it's rider on the road, I would have to "make friends and have a chat". Not least because of the three brakes and the two stems - beyond that, the practicality and the ethos of the components and the aesthetics makes me think "my kind of cyclist". It might not be what I would have done but we're all different. With this build, I can get entirely behind it and enthuse over it.

It was 35mm before I split it, resized it and soldered it.
