Recently just bought myself a winter hack. Not wanting to spend more than £150, i managed to get this old Carrera Virtuoso for £60.

Mine is the now quite famous knockabout bike (MK3), a heavily modified Hawk Trakatak:

This afternoon I have fitted Schwalbe Snow Stud tyres to it so of course the forecast is for temps of up to 11C this week. Oh well, they'll get a good lot of running in before going on the ice.

It's not bad. Had hardly used GP4000 tyres on which are worth about as much as the bike ha ha
Only been out once but it's a good ride

Yeah comfy as, ideal for the winter

Yes it is the sea and it is ice. No chains brakes or gears to mess about with and I will still be out and about when all the bikes cannot get out :0)
