Soap....that's it. I have precious little hair so in reality I'm cleaning my scalp in the same way I clean the rest of me....with soap

I do make sure all recalcitrant hairs stuck on the soap are washed off after showering though

Do you lot shower every day then? What a waste of water! I shower about 3 times a week and that's enough as I don't do manual work as a job . Carrying a pencil all day is not sweaty work.

What about those hours of intensive cycling? I lose a kg of weight on a 33 km local ride. That corresponds to a litre of sweat! More in fact, since I drink 0.5 litres on the ride.

I understand having a shower after a ride, I always do , but not in a normal day.

No Swarfega in the house when I was growing up, so any oil or grease on me resulted in my Mum using a nail brush coated with Vim!

I remember that too.

Might have been Ajax.

I make my own scouring hand cleaner with liquid soap and sand these days. works well.

soap powder is a bit too alkaline
