.That`s an excellent description! No! It turns an otherwise pleasurable pastime into a miserable, annoying, depressing, stressful chore.
Your kit WILL get wet eventually - there is no such thing as waterproof clothing (I know this from 30+ years of motorbikes!).
It is not good for your bike - the drivetrain will wear more quickly; brakes will generate black sludge; bearings will rust away instantly! You WILL get more punctures and have to stand in the pi55ing rain while you replace the tube, as hypothermia sets in.
My bikes live inside the house (flat), so bringing them in after a wet ride is a PITA..
I'll wait for something approaching dry weather, thanks.

Yeh, of course. I was down there last week (well, Henley on Thames) and ended up leaving my admittedly leaky tent in a skip after torrential rain on the Wednesday night. Had to cut my stay short by 24 hours to return to the comparatively calm weather of the west of Scotland. Sadly your crap weather seems to have followed me!As always, the weather is beautiful in London.
Thank me later. Think of the bearings!I was about to go out in the rain but for some reason i have changed my mind.I wonder why
Now, I usually agree with this but after a week of commuting and getting wet...no, soaked on every ride, I'm pretty fed up. It's mad, I've never seen it rain this much during the working week...its unusualGet out there! Skin is waterproof.
