Not the type you have in your bathroom, but the ones of which weather forecasters often speak. Isn't there supposed to be a gap in between them? I see no gaps today. I have abandoned any hope of getting out for a bike ride. :rain:

No! It turns an otherwise pleasurable pastime into a miserable, annoying, depressing, stressful chore.
Your kit WILL get wet eventually - there is no such thing as waterproof clothing (I know this from 30+ years of motorbikes and damp crotch syndrome - it ALWAYS finds a way in there!).
It is not good for your bike - the drivetrain will wear more quickly; brakes will generate black sludge; bearings will rust away instantly! You WILL get more punctures and have to stand in the pi55ing rain while you replace the tube, as hypothermia sets in.
My bikes live inside the house (flat), so bringing them in after a wet ride is a PITA..

I'll wait for something approaching dry weather, thanks :okay:.

Showers, technically, are just precipitation not associated with weather fronts.

As always, the weather is beautiful in London.
Yeh, of course. I was down there last week (well, Henley on Thames) and ended up leaving my admittedly leaky tent in a skip after torrential rain on the Wednesday night. Had to cut my stay short by 24 hours to return to the comparatively calm weather of the west of Scotland. Sadly your crap weather seems to have followed me!

As always, the weather is beautiful in London.

Maybe if Scotland goes its own way, the top bit of Ireland follows and then Londinium thinks "we'll have some of that" then I could finally go abroad for some much needed sun without having to suffer the tedium of airport security ever again.

I'm quite chuffed that I have spotted a potential upside to Brexit.

Back on track - hissing down here...again!
