I've missed many a good/bad show, due to many factors but none because of some high falootin or head up arse thinking I'm better than others who have seen them...
to be honest i find it quite nauseating when nobbers dismiss something they have no interest in, even though plenty of others do....
I also hate when others post as if watching TV is some ways inferior to what they do, again nobbers..^_^
Couldn't agree more. There's a godawful smugness about it all - like it's some kind of an achievement not to own a telly.

Old Jon,sir.Do you ride a cream or white touring bike,do you have silver/grey hair with a ponytail.I saw a cyclist going through Bramhope on Monday afternoon.I wondered if it was you.

Never been a schoolteacher, but aye, that was likely me. Not enough hair for a ponytail, just scruff. Returning from Denton bridge, which made it my longest ride since buying the bike, Ellis Briggs called the colour ivory on the handwritten receipt last June.

Probably every show that I spot being mentioned as "must watch" shows - nobody I have questioned as to why I "must watch" has been able to provide me with any reasons I feel compels me to watch them. They do however feel the need to tell me what happens in the shows and detailed information about the characters, despite me clearly having no interest. I still don't have a clue tho as I switch off and have been known to wander off and left them blabbering to themselves or said "sounds like shite"; they don't appear to take the "hint"...

I have come to the conclusion that anyone who watches "must watch" shows is a nobber.

Lots, but I must be the only person on the planet who hasn't seen The Godfather.

it is very good indeed to be fair and does deserve its reputation.

The sequels on the other hand... not ao much, though by no means bad. Over-rated in my view

The book is shyte however

A friend of mine often excitedly asks "Have you been watching Corrie/Emmerdale/'stenders!?!?!?!!?" which is odd... it's as if the plots are so engrossing that she's completely forgotten that she knows full well that i don't watch any modern soaps. Even when i remind her of this decades old fact, she fills me in with all the latest soap gossip about this, that and the other character and I've no idea who any of them are. "yeah you dooooo." she'll rant, before telling me everything the character has done in the last five years. Then i realise that it's easier to pretend that i do know WTF she's on about and try to nod in all the right places.
