My son just flipped his wired bead tyre inside out to find a puncture, and the bead seems to have adjusted itself within the tyre carcass. The sidewall is rolled around it like a roller blind.

If I try to flip the tyre around, the other side rolls up as this side unrolls.

New tyre time?

Loch side.
If you can roll it back, it will be fine. On wire beads, the glue that holds the cords and rubber can break away and the bead assumes independence from the tyre and does its own thing. If you can roll it back, the tyre will be fine. You may need an entire family's hands to do the job. Stand in a circle and all roll to the same side.

We ended up using these to hold the bead in the right place having unrolled it.. got about a third of the way round the tyre and the bead just flipped itself round into the correct orientation.
