I have been offered what is alleged to be an auxilary electric motor for bicycle, dating form 1980s.
anyone know anything about them?
no pics yet, 'cos I'll have to buy it first.

Ok its probably crap, so no need to tell me, its just I am a sucker for such gizmos

My brother bought the mk1. He sent it back, the reason being it only worked to about 10mph max.
And even then it was still hard work.
 
Too small, insufficient weight, cheap construction, underpowered, only really worked with slicks and held in place by rubber bands

Yes, I recall better now. Getting it to actually drive the wheel was the main problem.
