Do you have a similar priced one that you prefer so its more 'like for like'?

I reverted back to Glenmorangie 12 year old.
Yes, it is more expensive (Don't buy at RRP, usually on offer under £30) but it lasts longer as it is a more satisfying drink.

Glenmorangie is a favourite of the mine in that price range, its got the sweetness? I need from a malt.

I was out with my brothers yesterday at our favourite pub: the famous Pot Still in Glasgow, which has around 1000 whiskies from around the world but the vast majority are Scottish.

I really enjoyed my first dram of the afternoon - a Lochlea

And a decent measure too, none of your 'dirty glass' measures in this pub.

The best value whiskies around at the moment are the Signatory 100 proof independent bottlings. Loads to choose from and usually sub 50 quid.

For that you're getting an age statement, effectively cask strength, natural colour and non-chill filtered.

The ones labelled Speyside (M) are Macallan. Take a minute to compare the price vs an official Macallan bottling of the same strength.

For my drams worth (living on Speyside) I like a nice sherry cask & choose "natural coloured" as the colourings (purely for appearance) are questionable (.........but hey, we're drinking 40% ethanol anyway) !!

I was recently in a Swiss hotel during a cycling holiday and saw the Macallan 18 behind the bar so I enquired about the price.
€18 which seems expensive but I know the price of a bottle and this was in a Swiss hotel. I was poured a triple. Bargain!

Masters of Malt are showing it ar £46+£5 delivery ?

Are you sure it’s the same product?

The one in my photo is a bottling specially commissioned by the Pot Still for its birthday last year. That's why it's exclusive to them. (It even says "The Pot Still, Glasgow" on the label.)

Do you have a link to the MoM offering by any chance?

As I'm currently working through a very cheap blended whisky that mrck bought it needs the coke to make it drinkable.

Rather than being reduced to drinking coke, which is after all a bit minging, how anout whisky sours? This is whisky, or more traditionally Bourbon whiskey, lemon juice, and egg white, shaken with ice, then served with a big block of ice. I've got quite fond of whisk(e)y sours but don't want to waste my good malt whisky on them.
