Single Speed - Eastway

    Looking seriously at picking out a winter hack. Spec i think i want is single speed, drop bars perhaps disc brakes if possible. If more than £500 the bike would have to be available somewhere under the cyclescheme.

    I've looked at Wiggle and their Eastway brand and this single speed looks nice enough - anyone had experience with it?

    I'd prefer proper drops and brakes myself. Look for a used Pearson SS. There was a Hanzo in the sale section

    Never had disc brakes yet, but only just thought. Can you have rear disc brakes on a single speed? Assuming it has horizontal dropouts.

    Only if it has compatible frame. If it doesn't be easier to stick it on the front with an appropriate fork.
