SKS Chromoplastic for marathon plus

Ive recently upgraded my tyres on my Careera subway 2 to Schwalbe Marathon Plus HS440 Tyre - 27.5 x 1.50 Inch 40-584 and am lookingfull lenght mudguards but am struggling to judge. Can any one advise please? Im looking at these ones- SKS Mudguards - Bluemels Mudguard Set - BLACK - 45MM 28"

There a little expensive so I'm also open to other suggestions too.

40-584 means your tyres are 40mm.

Your suggested mudguards are 45mm. So, they will fit.

If you have the space between the top of tyre and bottom of fork and seatstay bridge, it's worth going for 50mm+ mudguards. This gives you better coverage and flexibility if you wanted to run fatter tyres i.e. off road ones.

The SKS Chromoplastics are generally the best common mudguards, buy you can usually saves few quid by buying SKS Bluemels. They're just as good.

Ime the Marathon +s come up wider than spec, so I'd echo @Spiderweb 's recommendation to go wider than 45mm - with no downside.
