This week I was informed my Internet is now with Sky :-(

I guess I won't be getting my fiver off the bill for having an O2 mobile but I hate it even more giving any of my hard earned cash to Murdoch

+1, and home phone, given that the package I have was a 12 month contract they had better not put the price up as I only pay £16.50 instead of £37.50

Jumped ship to Plusnet last month, had been thinking that I could get fibre for the same price or a little more than the O2 rate anyway. As it worked out, line rental discount makes up for the increase in the broadband price, so it's about a pound more for six times the speed. Which is nice. Heard more than a few complaints about Sky's quality of service, and I get enough mailshots about their TV services as it is....

In my case it's just the BB. I don't like having all my eggs in one basket ^_^

The speed I was getting with O2 was enough, I'm not bothered with super high speed broadband - the good thing was that i never got a bill for going over the limit which I'm sure I did every single month in the last 4 years I was with them.

we have sky TV and I have thought many times to stop it. I just need to be a good boy, eat all my greens before my wife will let me.

I was on one of O2's legacy unlimited (well, fair use policy) packages, regularly 40GB or more a month usage without a problem. Service & support was really good too, the very few issues I had were quickly sorted. Plusnet have been good so far though, and the transition from O2 went without a hitch. Their unlimited is absolutely no download limit whatsoever- they do assign traffic priority so streaming and other high-demand stuff gets bandwidth over P2P, but that's clearly explained and in practice makes no difference to your network performance. Used about 81GB in my first month. The extra speed is handy too- less hanging about waiting for that big OS update or iPlayer download.
