It's cheaper than going out or spending hours internet shopping every eveningEach to their own and all that but £1200 a year for TV channels seams a bit bonkers to me. You could buy a really nice bike for that sort of cash.

What happens if you already have a couple of nice bikes and do not want anymore.
Well....I cancelled
They offered everything half price but I want to see how my rabble cope without Sky TV. I'll get one of the streaming services to take the edge off but I'm sure I'll be happy with free-to-air as its this time of year BBC and ITV make an effort
Now......where else can I cut back
Well I could if I could be bothered think of about 1200 things I would spend £1200 on, but TV would not one of them.
I pay it because I like to watch football, that's what hikes my subs but it's cheaper and simpler to stay in and watch it at home while sitting in the exercise bike, doing the ironing or whatever, that going to a pub on my own and having to pay for drinks and quite possibly a meal
And it's my money, I can more than afford it, dont have to scrimp on anything else. However, I do play the game with retentions when needed to get some discount
The one thing I don't get is paying £50+ a month for a mobile contract on a deal for 2 years just to get a new phone every time
That does seem bonkers to me! I have a cheap contract which provides everything I need and get a nearly new iPhone every so often when the upgrade loonies jump for the new model. My brother buys the old one off me!
I did switch my gas and electric earlier this year. Car insurance is a bugger thanks to a couple of 'fault' claims in the last three years, can't get a better deal there right now

I cancelled SKY a couple of months ago we now just have freeview and Netflix which my children watch cartoons on and no one seems to have minded losing SKY.
