Ah! This explains something I remember from about 45 years ago... my parents were all agog because a pal of my Dad had bought a Sunbeam Alpine!

Yeah - but it was seemingly a bit boring, as it was a mathematics conversazione every time this group of friends got together - talking about diameters, circumference et al. When I grew up (I grew up?) I realised it was just pi in the sky.
