I've signed up and I'm planning to do the whole route.
Perhaps we could use Skyride as an opportunity to meet?

Love to, especially if you bear any actual resemblence to your avitar!!

but sadly, I shall be taking my passport and heading up into the wilderness that is the north (Birmingham) for the weekend.

Looks like this forum has taken on a whole new dimension...groovy

I vote we combine a little with the yacf crew, there are quite a few of us on both forums. We meet by the bandstand in St. James' Park, you'll see loads of yacf and cycle chat lycra tops.

I will be trying to make this one.

Missed last years and forgot about the Hounslow one recently, so I'll be making an extra effort this time.

I will probably swing by St James' Park to see if I spot anyone

I should be fairly recogniseable with my LondonSkaters Speed Team strip on - blue/white kit. Oh, and the bike of course, probably attached to a bright yellow Burley D'Lite trailer.

What brings you up to this neck of the woods? And where in this great second city are you intending to visit?

I should be there (if i have a new bike by then, seeing one tonight) i should be recognisable on an orange fausto coppi cyclocross.

God, its been about 4 weeks out of the saddle now and i'm getting massive withdrawal symptoms, as well as getting fat!

Staying with friends for the weekend, actually more towards Stratford Upon Avon...but its all north for me.

Planning to go conkering in a big country park with all the kids, its someplace they know well (no idea where I'm afriad) and then quite a bit of indoorsy stuff with wine, beer and great company.

Hopefully the weather will be quite autumnal....Cant wait, it'll be worth the drive to see them all.

Apparently, last year the event - then called Freewheel - attracted around 50000 cyclists. And I'm pretty sure there'll be more this year.
I'll see if I can find you in the park - look out for a petite creature with short, dark hair and not a sign of Lycra on

It was indeed, quelled by the 20 mile ride back from NW london in the dark though. Couldnt of been in more luck with the bike though, happened to be sold to me by ex hungarian road racer/tt who now works as cycle mechanic in london. Its frightenly quick compared to my old decathlon mtb.

Stratford Upon Avon the same as Birmingham!!

Well I suppose no-one's ever heard of Stratford Upon Avon so you'd need to name check somewhere a bit bigger.

You cockneys have no idea of anywhere outside of the capital...I dunno!

Cyclemagic isn't going to be there this year:sad:

The organisers kept on saying they were going to book us but left it until Monday this week by which time we already had two major events to do.

We should be at ALL the Skyride events next year, though:biggrin:
