Steve50, do you do headlights as part of your day to day business, I do. I can also tell you that applying a single pack laquer from an aerosol onto a plastic headlight is not the best way forward, despit what you have seen on youtube.

I'll rub in a good coat of Autobalm when I'm done, that'll keep it shiny and clear. All the better to see those thirty mile and hour signs.

Autobalm for what? Not coating the lights after stripping I hope.

The coating I use is very expensive, as a poor substitute that works you can use a paint sealant, however you need to completely strip old coating and polish the light back to perfection before applying.

If you want enough to do two lights give me an address and I will send some out.

Yes, for rubbing into the lights. As you know, it's just a sealer and helps prevent road dirt from adhering and becoming ingrained, and then reacting with UV and discolouring the lenses again.

I thought it was a wax, which is nothing like a sealer. The sealer I use is a two pack system.

Wait - serious for a second - I do need to remove the discolouration from my headlights. What's being recommended here?

It's synthetic, no wax. They do a wax one as well.

I could strip them off the car and spray them with 2 pack clear, but i'll just Autobalm them every 3 months and that'll keep them as clean as Cliff Richards criminal record.

Edit - Tinny, I use Autosol paste metal polish. Everyone has their own favourite, but any moderate abrasive will do.

Here they are now. I'll post up an after pic when I'm done.

I start off with 240 grit and work my way through to 3000 and finish with a quality polishing compound, I then recoat using a specialist product.

I know advertising I'd frowned up but Delta is the company I distribute for.
