slow Laptop tune up programs?

Laptop is running really slow, probably got tons of random malware and stuff running in the background.
Can anyone recommend the best clean up program for a reasonable price?

Malwarebtes, Superantispyware & ccleaner, how much free space is there on the drive?

C drive has 127gb free of 277gb

There just seem to be loads of processes taking up between 1000k and 4000k each.

Ctrl alt delete will bring Task Manager up in all Windows versions.

Post a screenshot of your Task Manager window (Function + Print Screen key).

^ this. CCLeaner and MalwareBytes to get rid of the PUPs and Malware, then install Avast! Free anti-virus (just avoid the Chrome download). Total cost? £0.00 and some of the best tools around.

Just be careful where you download any PC cleaning tools from, as some of these will actually add the malware to your PC, not remove it. Stick to the well-known download sites with a good reputation, and virus-scan everything you download.

Honestly. I've been fixing PCs for ten years and the only way to really get them to run 'as new' is to wipe 'em and reinstall. And its easier to do than ever these days.

I should say that you should only do this if you know what you're doing. If not, I am happy to walk you through it.

You could start by defragging the laptop if it hasn't been done recently.
Also, before you do lots of malaware and registry cleanups and clear outs, set a restore point in case it all goes to pot.

I've swapped all the data I need to a hard drive and another pc, I wanted to do a fresh install but went to the Microsoft site as I dont have the disc, entered my windows 7 key and it told me to contact the manufacturer as it was originally installed by them???
Surely when I purchased the laptop I purchased windows 7 as well?

How do I get a copy?

I have emailed Samsung and am waiting for a response.

If you purchased the laptop with Windows pre-installed then it is probably an OEM copy and the key for that will differ to a retail copy, or volume license copy, or whatever.

You may well have a restore partition on the drive so you could boot into that for a repair. If not, you may have an application on the machine to make your own discs.

Can you give me the make and model number, please?
