Slugs....

    We're inundated here as well. Luckily most of the produce is large enough to survive them now, but next damp evening, I think I shall have to be out with the torch and a pointy stick.

    here in Nottingham not inundated at all....

    Hedgehogs eat slugs too. You'll have to go to a Tiggywinkles Hostel and give some (flea-ridden) spiky friends a home!

    I thought a dog had defecated on the path the other day, then I noticed it was a huge black monster slug, a 6" behemoth. :biggrin:
    I bet he gets his five portions a day.

    Slug Tennis.......

    Water garden, wait for slugs...

    Get old tennis racket, scoop up slug - toss and swing.....

    You will be amazed how far they travel!

    (PS Snails are better and travel further!)

    Yes indeed. Boiled, poached, fried, scrambled, coddled.... all OK - provided you add salt :biggrin:

    OK, Latest research has shown Gordon Brown is only 43% slug and not 63% as first thought.
