Hmmmmm.

I’m looking for suggestions please. I need a rear light for the Dunwich Dynamo. That can’t be too obtrusive / blinding…..for anyone behind me. I’ve been warned I’ll likely take abuse if I use normal ‘look at me / light up the night’ jobby. Everything the lights I currently own go against…. 🙄

Anyone got any ideas for an: I can just about be seen, small and inexpensive light that will see me through 8-10 hours ?

The one you have posted an image of does the job. It is far more than just about be seen, but neither is it one of those retina burning ones.

I have one of these - excellent little light. Various flash modes as well as constant on. Visible in bright daylight without being OTT. Long battery life.

For a number of years I've used Oxford Mini+ USB rear lights - lightweight, small cheap and last a long time: https://www.bikeparts.co.uk/products/oxford-ultratorch-mini-rear-light They're also not too bright.

My LBS stocks Oxford lights. Maybe I can get a chance to see one powered up. Thanks !

Do Lidl still have cycling bits in the middle isle? Did they have any bike lights?

My goto primary lights for the last ~6 years have been a Lidl set bought just before the first lockdown, which included a ~2" shield-shaped rear light with integrated USB battery.

Those Magicshine SeeMee rear lights, that project a red zone around you on the ground look very clever, but beyond your requirements here. Seen them reduce to ~£40 for the 300.
