Once you get the light you desire and still think it's too bright, maybe wrap something around it?

I’d thought the same ! ❤️ I could probably do with one slightly better quality / more adjustable rear light anyway. So I guess this is it.

But yes absolutely. For the night I could get some Tint wrap from eBay.

Ride is in July, on the weekend nearest to the Full moon. And crammed with riders. As you well know Pete. Hence my need for a rider-friendly dimmer / dimmable item…

Best mate, riding buddy or someone i stumbled upon riding at my pace: no way on this Earth would I follow that for ‘8 hours’…..

The Moon ones are very good and the mount is like a mini Garmin one; started selling them in the shop last year* and they sold pretty well and are well made.

*Incidentally to mostly replace Cat Eye as the distributor wanted the shop to take too much on for the buy-in but they are similar (if not better in some respects) to them.

This has been recommended on the Dunwich Dynamo FB Group. Apparently I’ll have “hours of fun” cycling (sic) through the different modes / variable Lumens.

Found them at Halfords where I had some vouchers. So have taken the plunge.

Cateye also do a little 15 lumen mini rear light. Saw it on Amazon.

Wrap some Y fronts round them. Give them a scrape and shake first else youll block all the light.

Strange as it might seem, even with so many on the ride, there were times when hardly any other riders were in view, especially out in the wilds..
Maybe there are more folk on the Dynamo now. I don't know 🤷‍♂️

The one I’ve bought has a variable Lumen system: and supposedly ‘hours worth’ of modes to scroll through. It’s now been recommended by a few on the Dynamo group. So looks like I should be fine…..

I’m going to be riding 112 miles with 4000 other folk. Someone will be right behind me the whole way. I need a light that’s not modern / super bright - so as not to blind the person following……

Approx a 1,000 last year. Have numbers significantly increased? You certainly do not have riders sat on your wheel the whole way.

Away from lights, I remember riding through London Fields from Euston and the smell of Whacky-Baccy almost got me floating the initial 10 miles 😂
