Smirking at drivers.

There are roadworks near my workplace that means people are taking over an hour for a two mile journey even at 7am, so tomorrow I am diverting my commute to ride through it and brighten the stationary drivers day.

Best bit is that the roadworks will be there until the 9th April - I think I am going to get a lot of mileage out of this, may even manage to get some colleagues to consider using their bikes for a change.

It's good isn't it. More smirking the merrier ! In driver hating mode at the minute - might take a few days to calm down.

Where? In Nottingham? I may have to divert as well:smile:

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Into Leeds every morning I do the same; there's a constant queue each day into the city centre.

BTW I used to go out with a girl who lived just by that roundabout ... many years ago.

It's by the A60 roundabout near Ruddington, so people heading out from West Bridgford are having a lovely day today! lol

The Nottingham Knight roundabout? Lovely, that's my neck of the woods, I ride from Arnold to Keyworth several times a week, so I'll make a point of going through Nottm amd West Bridgford instead of going round the ring road and then through Ruddington!

Childish isn't it?^_^

Come Olympic time, London is going to be awful with traffic. It should provide a further boost to cycling as people try to escape the traffic jams.

I have to admit I love cycling past lines of traffic, its even better when a car cuts you up to beat you to that line of traffic. The only time I've felt even more smug is when I decided to jog home instead and went past a 2 mile stretch of traffic grinning at each car as I passed it.
