Yes there is - when you pull the trigger the recoil slows you down. Fire a long enough burst and you will not only stop, but also start to go backwards too. So not only is it a brake, but also a reverse gear.

The law requires the brake to act on the front wheel, so you'd have to aim it well down and it'll get expensive fast.

I do wonder how this statement would go down if uttered by a motorist.

Im a bit sad if a smombie is walking directly at me when am a pedestrian i ensure they get a shoulder check , nothing aggressive just to ensure they look where they are going .
