That is exactly what they have done. The road has been resurfaced on both lanes for the length of the closure. The rest of the road was kept open for access only. It was just a very short section that was actually closed and is known by anyone that uses the road due to the continuous settlement that occurs there which creates a little ramp in the road over time, or perhaps suddenly when the weather has been really wet for a prolonged period.That last one looks nothing like the reason given for the closure. Resurfacing both lanes, along the length of the closed section.
Old age comes to us all, you'll just have to remember the good times and stick to flat canal rides from now on. I have to admit I just didn't enjoy the climbing today at all. It felt hard, I was sweating and just not getting the usual grin factor I feel on a good day of climbing
