Ignoring his shootout win, his best ever showing was as finalist in this event 2020. Mike Dunn who posted it is possibly the guy getting in the line of vision. I imagine he does much table cleaning since retiring.

It is why I only just came across it. Ignore a fake Higgins 155. He got a break of 147. Click bait is the 8 penalty points for a 155 total points.
There was also a witnessed 155, but Nooh seems to have the only one caught on camera.
Sadly, the Darlington academy might have closed. I recall some drifted to better located Sheffield.

If it doesn’t happen in a sanctioned event then it doesn’t count.
The pockets could be bigger? Match standard tables are much harder.
Also there is no pressure in practice.
Dart players throw 9 darts much more often in practice. Match play, when there is your livelihood on the line makes things much harder.

Obvious really. Even most, if not all, Guiness world records are sanctioned(fee paid) events.
That Nooh 155 was hardly even considered news.

The Darlington tables for the 155 would of course have been pretty much match standard.

Incredible end too. I had assumed an easy win for O'Sullivan until I replied to that first post.
I imagine it was long odds at the start. Yet , at mid-way it was still good odds which became useful, it much looking a case of 'every dog has his day'.
I do not really gamble, only ever doing considered value bets.

The pockets are cut differently. On championship tables they are much less forgiving of a ball that touches the edge of the pocket on it's way in.

I don't think Hearn had any intention of moving the championships from Sheffield, he's not stupid and he knows how important having an iconic venue is to the game. it was a clever ploy to force the Council into upgrading the theater.
