There were some light flurries around Gosforth earlier. Looking very windy outside in Whitley Bay now but I'd be surprised to see snow!

We had a wee flurry in Carlisle around 18:00ish. It wasn't much but was defo snow.

Snowing here too, though that's on Ingleborough, so only about 30-40km from 'a bit north of Kendal'.

'Fortunately', when I was cycling up a 450m hill an hour or so ago it was merely hailing, producing a pronounced facial stinging effect which was impressively enhanced by the (allegedly) 45mph gusts up there, but no slipperiness.
It was really quite bracing

Ice-cold wind, accompanied by the briefest flurry of snow as I rode through
Pollokshields about 5.30 tonight.
