I bought some clipping shears a couple of years ago for about £15 and I give myself a number 3. I can't be bothered taking the tidying up too seriously but it's quick and cheap.

My Grandad used to cut mine when I was a lad and genuinely used to put a pudding basin on my head......now I just wear my cycle helmet and trim anything that hangs out the sides.....includes my ears sometimes as I don't have a steady hand
