Lane dsicipline is a hot topic, so when I came across this today I was shocked. No lane discipline at all, wobbling everywhere, and he even mounted the pavement!

I had my mobile phone on me, and it was a great moment to capture. Surely I'm not the only dad to film his son learning to cycle!

I knew he was close, so I was ready with the phone!

I'm especially chuffed as my wife now agrees that we can go cycling as a family in the summer, so I have to buy my new bike (my wife can ride my current stead and my wife is just about the same height as me) and my youngest can go in the child seat!

Give me a break! My wife was asleep recovering from Pleurisy! The proper video camera was in the room she was sleeping in. I didn't want to disturb her!

Hope Mrs Magnatom is feeling much better. Pleurisy's not much fun - I remember when my ex had it.

Can you get your 3.5yr-old son to come and harass my almost-9-yr-old daughter to try learning to ride a bike ? She point blank refuses to even get on the one that my folks bought her 3 Christmases ago; if I even so much as mention 'bike' to her she tells me she's NOT talking about it and changes the subject.

I'd LOVE to go out cycling with her in the summer to the park, but it's just not looking likely that it'll ever happen. She'll end up being an adult learner (if she ever DOES learn to ride a bike or a scooter or swim). She's highly intelligent and very advanced for her age, though unfortunately in cerebral matters only.

Proud moment for you,my son was a late learner similar to yours goo,but i have the pics of his first solo on the park field as he circled round me,he was ten.
