Other hobby?
With young kids i do not have enough time for cycling let alone anything else

This. Combined with doing an OU degree means even less spare time.

Although I do try to keep basic martial arts skills up - would be a shame to lose them after 20 years.

Gave up martial arts a few years ago when i fecked my shoulder , its ok day to day but anything serious means it takes weeks to recover.
Good luck with the OU !!
I am supposedly doing the team leader course at work sometime soon and it means a lot of work at home on top of on the job training.

Brandane

The Costa Clyde rain magnet.
This; love riding it, love fettling it. Have had to scale down the length of my journeys thanks to petrol prices though. Best trip ever was to the south of France via the Alps (was a different bike though). Doubt if I'll ever do that again .

TBH, I like fixing old bikes more than I enjoy riding them, in much the same way as I like fixing old cars more than I actually enjoy driving them.

I also like hill walking and photography. Used to do a lot of mackeral fishing with my uncle years ago but haven't done that in a while (note to self, look out fishing rod).

Sorry mate on the West Coast on Lewis fishing off the top of the cliffs or down at Port of Ness for Mackerel.. Boat fishing does give better returns I have caught a tope 4ft long in the 'Wash' in a boat only 18ft long. It was measured and released. Caught on a mackeral flapper.

Ta for the reply, I'd be better off finding a fishing forum but thought I'd ask while I had the chance.
