Nearly 10KW yielded today ! Has been blue skies , not bad for January I’m sure . Same weather last week was a bit less , sun getting that little bit higher in the sky ! However that’s the highlight for the week lol ! Cloud beckons !

7.6 Kwh here today. A full 2.5 up on the previous record.
Of course I could just generate this myself on the turbo if I (does a quick sum) just cycle for 38 hours a day.

Our reporting app hasn’t been working properly for a few days. The system itself is working fine though, good to see a bit of charge going into the batteries today.

5Kwh today. First week has been just about double of what was forecast. I guess the days have got longer though so it's not really fair to forecast based on a single week. I do love the data though.
Wondering if we should look at getting an AC unit for the summer - we will literally have electric to burn by then.

So before I settle the invoice for our panels and battery - is there anything I need to check for ?
Panels and batteries seem to be working OK.
Once I pay the bill I will receive the DNO application and whatever certificates they haven't already given me.

Two good days. The battery never dropped below 23% overnight, and got back up to a peak of 91% today, so will be nowhere near discharged tonight. The peak yesterday was 64%.

"Production" is showing for yesterday at 8kWh and for today at 12kWh

Anyone got any tips and tricks for utilising their solar ?
I've been throwing the immersion water heater on when we are otherwise just giving to the grid - but is there anything else worth doing ?

Just try to do your washing/tumbling when you have spare capacity, they are quite heavy on the leccy.

Ours is set up to automatically go to the immersion heater before exporting, but anything else is manual.

4 days in a row now where we have filled the battery. The only day in the last week we have been importing was the 4th (and morning of the 5th until the sun came up).

But we STILL haven't got the ex[port sorted. The DNO sent another form to my supplier on Monday for me to sign and return, which I have now done. But until e get confirmation from them, with a reference number, Octopus can't get the export MPAN.

Fortunately we have access to interest free loans up here . However I think that’s tempered with higher install costs ? Certainly looks like it ? £12/13k for 10kWh batt and 5kW solar array is standard. Max loan is £11k !
Not worth using all your own cash either way for me anyways . Thread digression !

Just to update on how prices have changed massively ( or companies ripping ) . My install was £12.5k , 10kW battery and 5.2KW of panels . Friends of mine similar equipment, one extra panel I recall, £3k price increase!!
Company were good , very neat but in questioning the price difference, they blamed Brexit and the mini budget !! Nuts.
